To balance irregular shaped figures, estimate the center of gravity, insert a small screw-eye and suspend from string. Make any necessary adjustments to the position of the screw-eye, remove it and drill 1/8" hole through object. From the bottom drill 1/4" dia, hole to within 1/4" of top, thread chain from bottom.

For symmetrical shapes with round bottoms drill holes before cutting shape.

Turn hearts upside-down or drill before cutting shape.
